Serving Wake County

In his almost 17 years on the bench, Eric has served in nearly all Wake County District Court courtrooms. He has gone through the Juvenile Certification process twice, originally for multiple rotations in abuse/neglect/dependency court, and later for Juvenile Delinquency matters. Eric currently sits almost exclusively in criminal court, hearing felony pleas on Class H and I felonies, conducting First Appearances and presiding in domestic violence court. In addition to his work in the courtroom, Eric handles half of the hundreds of expungement petitions filed each month in Wake County.

Experience Matters

In fiscal year 2021-22, over 114,000 cases were filed in Wake County District Court, each of which is of the utmost importance to the parties, witnesses and officers involved. Based on both the significance of each case and the sheer volume of filings each month, Wake County deserves knowledgeable, accomplished and sophisticated jurists on the District Court bench. Experience matters.
